["Waterman" Ep. VI]

Cry me a river...

... I've noticed several people now chiming in with similar war stories as my own. You don't accept criticism... at all. I remember you cussing at me on AIM after I left a review for episode 3 (4?, shows how civil you are. And now, you're gonna up and quit because you're not doing as well as you think you should? That's dedication there.

Here's an idea: instead of defending yourself all the time, and insisting that you're right, and the whole world is wrong, learn to take some criticism. This is art, for pete's sake. In the entertainment industry, you take criticism, espeically the constructive criticism, and you build from there.

You're always going to have haters along with the fans. Whether they're jealous or they make a good point, they're there. Where do you think IllWill would be had he let the negativity get to him? Rather than throw in the towel, how about doing what he did, and listening to the constructive criticism, and the earnest reviews (not a "you suck" or a "you're cool"), and cater to the audience.

Hell, looking at your boards, people on there don't even like the episode, so that should tell you something. Personally, it's not funny, and the fact that it's a collage of a dozen or so other shows is kind of ridiculous, but that's personal taste.

That's my two cents. I probably wasted my breath here, because, as I have found from the past, you are stubborn and bullheaded, and will take this all as a threat... but that's life. Deal with it.

Not as funny as your past ones...

... plus, the lip syncing was atrocious. I think you need study how the mouth works better; grab a mirror, and practice. Graphics are good, better than most, but this wasn't entertaining. I kept waiting for something to happen... and then it ended. Better luck next time.

We only have the option to upload SWF files in NG... if you watch this movie in MOV (QuickTime) the lip sync is perfect (or MPGE). I think the best format to watch internet movies is QuickTime.

Man, your stuff only gets better with each passing one. It's always a pleasure viewing, and you have, yet again, bedazzled the audience. Great story, terrific ending. Nice style you had going there, too, something different.

... that you've taken the serious comments to heart. Your animation is improving nicely, with, well, more animation. I respect this episode a lot more than previous ones, and, even though I didn't find it all that funny (though it was a shock factor kind of comic relief), it's great to see you taking into consideration what others, as well as you, have mentioned needs improving.

[Legacy Episode 2]

Visually stunning, but...

... you need to work on your storytelling abilities. By this, I mean that, while your charactrs are working properly and everything, the flow of this is really shaky; characters pop up of whose affiliation/purpose we are unclear, there are way too many close ups to understand the action half the time, and so forth.

I think, if you work on your storyboarding and pre production more, try getting some establishing shots thrown in there, and smooth out the pacing a little better, this would be much more successful.
