It had its moments.

Once again, I'm impressed by the amount of time gone into this movie. I can tell you reall put forth some effort.

Comments from the peanut gallery (if you don't mind)... it seemed sluggish in spots; if you picked up the pace, kept it more focused on action rather than capturing the whole moment, I think it would of flowed MUCH better (i.e. the shooting star scene could be cut in 1/4th, and have an even greater impact). Also, it's kind of disorienting, even when you explained in your comments, about the transition between present and past; perhaps a more finite/clear transition would have been more effective. Lastly, the thing you admonished in your music probably would have helped the story; having "ups and downs", or having the music crescendo and decrescendo as the action intenses or dies down, is one of the most effective tools in creating a mood. Music is very subliminal, and usually makes or breaks a piece, and the emotions you are intending to convey.

Keep in mind this is all constructive, do with it what you will. I enjoy watching your movies, especially since you spend quite a chunk of time on them. Nicely done :)

While I realize you were going for shock value...

... that was poorly done. The music was extremely choppy, and the animation went on and off with the beat. The style was nice, up until the point with the clown. The only thing I don't understand is how or why this made the front page. IF it was funny, I could understand, but it's a poorly done animation with an ending derived from the mind of a loony.

Eh...

... not my thing at all. You also lose major credibility when you whine about not getting any attention. If you don't want to make anymore, don't. If you do, knock your socks off. But make them because you like making them, not because they get you more or not enough attention. I'm going out on a limb and saying you're not getting payed for this, meaning it's eating up your free time. Why you'd work on something you don't like doing beats the hell out of me.

When I submit something here, it's purely for fun, something for people to enjoy. If they like it, great, if they don't, fine by me. You're never going to please everyone, so do it for yourself.

Pros and cons...

...while I think you have a nice style, it was kind of jarbled. I know your intentions, but I don't think you pulled it off well. The main problem I have is that there is no closure; you have this girl crying, yada yada, and there's blood everywhere, but there is no definitive point. Did she witness a murder? Did she kill someone? Et cetera... whenever one tries to do a psychological piece, it's always nice to let the audience know why, adds to the intensity. Other than that, it was nicely done.

p.s. You shouldn't be a dick to Tijo221 just because he expressed his opinion. Not everyone who watches your stuff is going to be a fan; you have to take the good with the bad.

first of all, i was joking in my response to tijo, although an unintelligent review deserves an unintelligent response. your comment has a point, and i understand what you're saying about closure. it was however an experimental peice, and wasn't meant to have any story or definite point, only to convey some emotion and practice flash. doesn't make it any better in that respect, but it is what it is.
